Round 2 of the AMOC Classic and Intermarque Championships.

 

After the disappointment of qualifying on pole for both races at Mallory and a CV joint breaking whilst leading the first race, I was hopeful of better things!

 

However it was not to be, a dubious forecast greeted us at Brands.  Qualifying for race 1 started as the rain began, light at first but getting heavier. 

 

Pole was achieved on lap 12 of 15.  So far so good.  Qualifying for the Intermarque was in heavier rain.  After 4 laps I came in to try and clear the mist inside the car, it was very wet and difficult to see the other cars in the spray.  Back out and 2 laps later.....'BANG' and an engine failure of some description. 

 

I sincerely hope I have had all this years breakdowns!
