Masters Series at Donington - 2 Races entered

Qualifying

1) Cloth Cap with XK Challenge

A very wet qualification and a very slippery track - 2 spins and a lowly 16th in the E Type. 

2) Then into the MK2 for the Top Hat Race.  This car is fun but not overly competitive in this field, so 18th was not too bad.

Race 1 - Cloth Cap

A dry, warm race and a good standing start with a few places gained on the start.  The 45 minute, compulsory stop, race was very enjoyable with some very close manoeuvres.  It was hot and hard work but an eventual 5th place made it all wothwhile.

Race 2 - Top Hat

Still hot and sweaty from the Cloth Cap race the start was OK, but within minutes the engine temp was rising - too far - so into the pits and retirement.   Not the best end to the weekend which could best be described as 'good in parts'.

Qualified: 16th in 1.51.632 @ 101.58kph

Result: 5th in 46.78.03 @ 116.2kph

Best Lap: 1.28.574 on lap 26 of 29

Top Hat

Qualified: 18th in 1.39.849 @ 113.56kph

Result: Retired
